Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney is an American-Lebanese barrister, human rights campaigner and philanthropist. She was born Amal Ramzi Al-Amuddin. A graduate of Oxford University and New York University School of Law her extensive and impressive profession in the areas of international law and human rights has won her international recognition. Her prominent clients included national states such as Armenia who were fighting to recognize the Armenian Genocide in Turkey. Amal Clooney got engaged in 2014 and later was married in 2015 to American actor George Clooney. She instantly became an household name. She was well known and respected for representing clients effectively and with a wealth of experience in the legal field prior to. Her expertise spans a broad spectrum of work, including social justice and issues relating with human rights, to representing various multinational companies in court, and when it comes to negotiations on government regulations. From 2015 onwards she served as a barrister at British courts in Doughty Street Chambers.
