Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania and is now an actress from Germany and Romania. Her best-known films include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the only child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. When she was 16she already landed several television roles, for instance, the lead in Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Her critically acclaimed performance in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including that of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge in the critically and commercially successful Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. Over the years Alexandra has been involved in a variety of noteworthy national and international projects. Among others, these projects include British Biographical Film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. Her other roles include being a jury member at both The Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
