Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German actress on television and film best known for her performances in films like Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Alexandra Maria Lara born as the only son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. At the age of 16 and a leading role in several dramas on television. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV movie Der Tunnel, Alexandra went into other notable characters like Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge on Downfall. This film was nominated for an Oscar and received critical and commercial popularity. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. Alexandra is well-known for her work in numerous notable projects, both in the United States and internationally. They comprise British biographical film Control as well as The Dust of Time as along with the French history mini-series Napoleon. She was also an official juror for the Transylvania International Film Festival as well as at the Cannes Film Festival.
